Hibiki is Suntory's flagship blended Japanese whisky, created to express elegance, balance and the house's long-established art of blending. Introduced in 1989, it brings together malt whisky from Yamazaki and Hakushu with grain whisky from Chita, producing a style that is polished, floral and layered rather than heavy or forceful. The name means "resonance", and that sense of harmony is very much the point: Hibiki is crafted as a blend in which texture, aroma and finish are intended to feel seamless and complete.
The bottle has become almost as recognisable as the whisky itself. Its 24 facets are designed to evoke both the hours of the day and the traditional Japanese seasonal calendar, giving Hibiki a presentation that feels distinctive without overshadowing what is in the glass.
