This whisky was distilled in 1978 by Port Ellen after 27 years maturing in oak casks. Bottled by Douglas Laing who selected the cask for release under their own label. At 55.3% you could certainly add a drop or two of decent water to this whisky to enhance the texture and open up the spirit.
