Beefeater Gin

Beefeater is one of the defining names in London Dry Gin, created by pharmacist James Burrough in the nineteenth century and still distilled in London today. Its name and label draw on the Yeoman Warders of the Tower of London, giving the brand one of the category's most recognisable identities.

Now owned by Pernod Ricard, Beefeater is produced at its Kennington distillery, where the brand has been based since the 1950s. The classic London Dry Gin remains the core expression, supported by variants such as Beefeater 24, Beefeater Pink Strawberry, Blood Orange, Peach & Raspberry, alcohol-free Beefeater 0.0 and newer premium releases including Beefeater Black.

The original gin is built around nine botanicals, including juniper, citrus peel, angelica, coriander, almond, orris and liquorice. Its style is crisp, dry and citrus-led, with firm juniper, fresh lemon and orange peel, light spice and a clean, balanced finish that makes it particularly reliable in a gin and tonic, Martini or classic cocktail.

Beefeater endures because it combines scale with genuine London gin heritage. It is widely available and approachable, yet still carries the structure, dryness and botanical clarity that define a proper London Dry.
